About me

Hello, my name is Yolande, I look forward to helping you to get the results you need.  I also provide online counselling so that you can access support wherever you are and at a suitable time for you.  I am a BACP accredited person centred counsellor and psychotherapist with over 20 years experience.

I specialise in anxiety, panic attacks, depression, self esteem, confidence and relationships, helping people to work through any difficulties and challenges, leading to calmer and much happier lives.

Relationships that no longer feel like they're working can leave us feeling frustrated, confused, alone, sad, and lost. I can help you to work through the difficulties in your relationship and find answers and solutions to help you to work things out.

I work with a wide range of mental health issues and challenges, I will offer you a therapeutic space and the time you need to work through your difficulties or challenges, helping you to regain balance and wellbeing in your life.

Person centred therapy can help to deepen your self awareness and can help you to work through distress and discomfort.  Person centred counselling can support you with mental clarity, focus and finding the right solutions you need to move forward.

Your mental health and wellbeing is one of the most important things that you have and It is important to take good care of this at all times.
I appreciate that this isn’t always easy to do, but many of the clients I have worked with find that it is far easier to achieve than they initially imagined when they have reached out for my support.

You will be fully supported throughout your counselling journey to meet your needs and will always be welcomed in a warm, safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment for your therapy.

Together we will agree on our work together and how best to work towards your desired goals and outcomes.

I look forward to hearing from you

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
