About me

Hi, my name is Vicky,

I am here to provide you with a space to give yourself permission to allow time for you. To focus on you. To explore the challenges that you may be faced with, the pain that you may be experiencing, recognising the things that may be holding you back.

Exploring these areas will enable you to make positive changes, that feel right for you, empowering you to be YOU.

I work in a trauma-informed way and am qualified in Person-Centred counselling, Clinical Hypnotherapy and REWIND.

Person-Centred counselling is non-directive; which means that the sessions will be led by you, with the belief that you are the expert of your own experiences.

Clinical Hypnotherapy can change negative thought processes and behaviours by listening to positive suggestions whilst you are in a state of deep relaxation.

REWIND can help with flashbacks which can enable you to detach from the trauma in order to reduce impact.

Training, qualifications & experience

Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling 13.04.2023

Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy 08.06.2023

REWIND training 08.07.2023

Level 3 Certificate in Sexual Violence  (OCN Accredited)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
