About me

My name is Victoria, and I currently provide counselling sessions by video or telephone, depending on your personal preference. I aim to provide a warm, welcoming, and professional space, offering a personalised counselling experience to suit your individual needs.

At times, life can feel challenging and confusing, as we face situations that cause us emotional pain and suffering. This may sometimes leave us feeling stuck, confused, powerless, or even losing a sense of ourselves, leaving us questioning who we are, or wondering which way to turn.

Whatever has brought you here, counselling can provide you with a space to explore your situation in depth and together we can look at the things that are concerning you, and try to find a way through your difficulties.

Maybe it is a past experience that is troubling you, or a transitional time in your life that is creating uncertainty. Perhaps you are experiencing inner-conflict, or there is a persistent sense that something is just “not quite right”.

Maybe you are looking for a space to talk freely to feel heard and to help foster a sense of clarity. Or  you might be looking for something more solution-focused or directive. Whatever your personal preferences, we can look at your goals, explore techniques, or simply have a space where you can offload and be truly heard without judgement. Not knowing what you want out of therapy is also OK, as we can work this out together, and there will be opportunity to regularly review where you are up to and make changes to our approach if you wish; we can work together to find a therapeutic style that most suits you.

If any of this resonates with you, then you might find counselling to be of real benefit.

My professional background has seen me working in the social care and mental health sector in various roles over the last twenty years providing opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. I continue to regularly update my learning to ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date.

Due to my own personal and lived experiences, I have a deep interest in working with those who have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences, bereavement, and also those who are neuro-divergent. In particular, I have personal and professional experience of autism and ADHD.

I acknowledge and understand just how difficult it is to make steps to seek help and I welcome any queries you might have about starting counselling. Please feel free to contact me to discuss further with no obligation.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
