About me
Modern Psychotherapy: A grounded approach to navigating life's complexities.
Perspective is often obscured by the noise of daily life or by rooted patterns that no longer serve us. I provide a stable environment to help you speak plainly about your challenges and find a clearer sense of focus.
My practice, Way of Mind, is built on the belief that mental clarity is not something you find, but something you cultivate. Whether you are navigating a specific period of difficulty or want a regular space to check in and maintain your composure, I offer a grounded framework focused on intentional change.
Working Together
Choosing to start therapy is a decision to be intentional about your mental health. So that you feel supported and heard in a way that truly matters to you, I lead in these four areas:
- Plain Speaking: We leave the clinical jargon at the door. Our sessions feel like a straightforward, human dialogue. I provide a stable environment where you can speak plainly, knowing you will be met with a steady perspective and professional integrity.
- Identifying Rooted Patterns: Like the bonsai in my logo, our current "shape" is often formed by patterns from our past. Together, we look at these roots to understand how they influence your present landscape. This isn't just "talking"—it is about gaining the clarity needed to make a change.
- Regulating the Noise: Insight is the foundation, but you also need tools for the "here and now." I incorporate practical techniques—harnessed from my background in mindfulness—to help you navigate stress. We focus on finding a steady state so you can feel more composed when life feels overwhelming.
- Cultivating Composure: My goal is to help you move beyond just "getting by." We work to "prune" away the habits and thoughts that hinder your progress, equipping you with a framework to handle life’s complexities with a clearer perspective and a steadier hand.
Working together, we will identify a focus that reflects your individual needs, helping you build a clearer framework for the challenges you face. This is an intentional process, shaped by your unique circumstances and moving at a pace that feels right for you.
My aim is to help you cultivate a sense of steady composure in your daily life. If you feel it is the right time to start exploring the issues affecting you, I provide the stable environment needed to begin that conversation. Please feel free to reach out to arrange an initial consultation, and we can begin this work together.
