About us
The Counselling Cooperative Group was established in 2017, and led by experienced Counsellors and Psychotherapist.
Throughout the times of Covid, the TCCG was actively providing therapeutic support for a spectrum of client presentations being faced during and after this time. Now, considering the financial challenges in the economic climate, mirrored by still an escalating demand for Psychotherapy, the TCCG has collaborated both experienced and qualified practitioners, all of which hold the requirements to practice, are associated to an ethical body and receive the expected level of Supervision, to provide an affordable option for therapy sessions to those on a low income, longterm sickness, receiving benefits and students.
The philosophy of TCCG is to bridge experiences with new professionals and to bring an affordable, ethical and accessible therapeutic intervention to those seeking private therapy.
The Counselling Cooperative recognises each client has their own requirements of the therapeutic alliance, and so engages an approach that aligns with the attitude of flexibility, duration and length of session structure.
At this time the Counselling/Psychotherapy sessions can only be offered to 18+ and it is our practice to hold a brief assessment of 20 minutes, to establish how we can best support, and for you to learn a little more about us.
Your questions are welcome, please send an enquiry to arrange a more detailed conversation…
With regards
The Counselling Cooperative Group

Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
