About me
Men, I see you, I hear you… Has your partner or ex betrayed or rejected you? Are you estranged from your children? Is this disrupting your career? The impact of ruptured relationships can be enormous & far reaching. . .
The impact of ruptured relationships can be enormous!
Separation & divorce are different for men, can you relate to this? Men who have been treated unfairly by their partner or ex often feel powerless as a result of deceit, control, and/or abuse, leading to difficulty accessing appropriate & compassionately understanding support.
When men experience a relationship breakdown, you are more likely to:
- Lose your home
- Be separated from your children
- Engage in harmful behaviour; e.g. alcohol, anger, withdrawal, mismanage finances, work long hours
For over 15 years I have been helping men to:
- Learn effective communication techniques to navigate separation & (if applicable) attain beneficial co-parenting outcomes, maintain, or build, loving bonded relationships with your children & reduce career disruption at this difficult time
- Develop beneficial & effective coping strategies - unique to your needs. Learning to care for yourself is fundamental to your well-being; creating a sense of autonomy, helping you consciously create peace, ease & healthier lifestyle choices; shaping your happier brighter future.
- Process painful emotions & learn emotional self-management. Feeling more positive in yourself you’ll cope better with challenging existing relationships as well as create new harmonious relationships (personal & professional).
I have been compassionately supporting men through the tumultuous experience of ruptured or broken relationships & their far-reaching impact for over 15 years. I deeply understand what you are going through & have the professional qualifications, competencies & experience to help you reclaim your sense of self & consciously create the life you desire.
Men can (& do) benefit from counselling. I offer discounts for those who need - or want - weekly sessions.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

A bit about Susie - the Human behind the Therapist
After a massive personal trauma that turned my life upside down, I decided to exit my Corporate career and move full-time into my Therapeutic career. I re-booted my entire life. Since 2012 I have been running my successful Private Therapy Practice; I love my job! My life is unrecognisable from those former dark days… I have experience of and understand what it feels like to brush shoulders with suicide, feel broken, deeply lonely, hopeless, overlooked, unloved and to experience trauma and PTSD… Importantly, I want to share with you that you can change your life and make it wonderful, again, or for the first time
I am a gentle, kind soul with a big heart, able to connect deeply and compassionately with others to help them heal, change or accept.
I like the simple things like sunrises and sunsets, walking in nature with my dog, admiring beautiful views. I love meditation and breath-work; they have been a tremendous help through my own healing. I can cook – sometimes… but I love food all the time! I excel at eating chocolate and love swimming in open water!
