About me

I work with men who have been treated unfairly in relationships, whether you have children or not.

The impact of ruptured relationships can be enormous!

Men Too! Men who find themselves on the unfair side of a relationship breakdown suffer in their own unique way; often in silence.

I offer emotionally comfortable, confidential, and safe sessions to encourage you to share the unfairness you experience/d. Together we can review the impact on you, your thoughts, emotions & perspective… We will also take time consider your options for change, or acceptance.

Men are more likely to:

  • Not see their children
  • Lose their home and/or friends
  • Experience emotional turbulence
  • Experience disruptions to their career
  • Be attracted to harmful coping strategies

Together we can:

  • Process the deep aching distress from broken relationships
  • Develop practical coping strategies unique to you and your needs
  • Learn effective communication techniques designed to help you get on with your life
  • Focus on maintaining or building strong loving relationships with your children
  • Help you recover after damaging or abusive experiences

I have many years of experience supporting clients through the difficulties of broken relationships, loss of personal agency and unfairness.

I also work with Therapists who have a professional complaint, either hanging over them, or coming to terms with the outcome; the far-reaching impact is real and I am here to support you without judgement; I promise!

Together we can work through feelings of shame & isolation, fear, anger, sadness & much more, helping you to rebuild your professional and personal confidence and sense of self.

I offer (Free) initial clarity calls by direct contact with me - please email me at susie@susiejamieson.com or TEXT 07584 193030 thank you

The benefits of therapy can be limitless…

Session frequency - I offer discounts for those who prefer frequent sessions.

I am not anti-woman or anti anyone who identifies as non-male; I have a lot of experience working with men who have been treated unfairly, even abused by people who identify as women… these men often find it very difficult to find a safe supportive sanctuary.

Experience
I have been Counselling since 2010 within Local Government, a National Charity and in Private Practice. I have many 1000's of clinical hours and have worked with wonderfully diverse people who have brought to their therapy an indescribable range of experiences. My passion however, is to help those who have been served an injustice; the heart-wrenching pain men face from family breakdowns and damaging relationships, as well as Therapists experiencing the shame and fear of professional conduct proceedings

I see you, I hear you , no matter what. . .

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I am dedicated to, and passionate about Fairness in Relationships!; particularly for men who find themselves on the unfair side of relationship breakdown as well as men who have possibly been abused in a relationship.

A bit about Susie - the Human behind the Therapist

After a massive personal trauma that turned my life upside down, I decided to exit my Corporate career and move full-time into my Therapeutic career. I re-booted my entire life. Since 2012 I have been running my successful Private Therapy Practice; I love my job! My life is unrecognisable from those former dark days… I have experience of and understand what it feels like to brush shoulders with suicide, feel broken, deeply lonely, hopeless, overlooked, unloved and to experience trauma and PTSD… Importantly, I want to share with you that you can change your life and make it wonderful, again, or for the first time

I am a gentle, kind soul with a big heart, able to connect deeply and compassionately with others to help them heal, change or accept.

I like the simple things like sunrises and sunsets, walking in nature with my dog, admiring beautiful views. I love meditation and breath-work; they have been a tremendous help through my own healing. I can cook – sometimes… but I love food all the time! I excel at eating chocolate and love swimming in open water!

I see you, I hear you, no matter what...
