About me

Feeling anxious or stressed about facing client complaints, professional accusations, misconduct, a wrathful manager, workplace bullying & more? Employee or Self-employed, my compassionate support will help you regain confidence & peace  of mind...

Perhaps you can relate to this poem?

What did I commit to receive this writ?

Berated, slated, I feel I’m hated!

What, exactly, was my part?

I feel so torn apart

I'm utterly broken,

Silenced & unspoken

These dread-filled days

Have become my new way

Who I was, is no longer who I am...

I am devoted to working with:

  • Therapists facing a professional complaint
  • Employees facing misconduct, bullying from managers or peers, performance management, or other career disrupting proceedings

Receiving a professional complaint, misconduct or unfair accusation about you can be devastating. Professional conduct proceedings have their own agenda of checks, assessments and decisions, operating on their own time line. This can be very stressful, especially waiting while those checks, assessments & decisions take their time...

It starts with:

  • A disgruntled client
  • A complaint from a client
  • Your work criticised or questioned
  • Tension between you and your line manager
  • Bullied by clients, colleague/s or management
  • Facing misconduct proceedings
  • Offered a settlement agreement

I have many years of experience with complaints, misconduct, unfair accusations, workplace bullying, settlement agreements & more; I’ve been in every corner of the square. While it’s happening it can be all-consuming; feeling like your world is ending. You are in the right place! I will help you…

  • Cope during the stressful & lengthy investigation procedure
  • Recover after the final outcome/decision
  • Create & shape a new thriving future

I will help you separate your emotional feelings from the admin of professional conduct proceedings; we will work together to:

  • Develop coping strategies to suit your needs
  • Create a self-care routine
  • Process your emotional turmoil & stress
  • Make beneficial decisions that create & shape your future

Reach out today; lets make it all OK! susie@susiejamieson.com

I work exclusively online throughout the UK & Europe.

I am the Therapist you didn’t know you needed; until you do…

A wee poem about how I work:

I've soft strength & I listen at length

My compassion is part of the deal; holding safe space while you heal

I’m here to gently soften your fall, & to hear each emotional call

When anger, fear & shame create a huge mess

You are safe in my space to openly express

I’ve been through it myself, I get it; it’s tough

It’s hard, feeling you are no longer good enough

I’ve insight so bright it can shed some - much needed - light

I will help you to soothe your wounded soul; nurturing you to confidently return to whole

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I am a gentle, kind soul with a big heart, able to connect deeply and compassionately with others to help them heal, change or accept.

I like the simple things like sunrises and sunsets, walking in nature with my dog, admiring beautiful views. I love meditation and breath-work; they have been a tremendous help through my own healing. I can cook – sometimes… but I love food all the time! I excel at eating chocolate and love swimming in open water!
