About me
Hi, I’m Steph – a BACP-accredited therapist with over ten years’ experience. I support adults and young people through the moments when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or simply too heavy to carry alone. If you’re feeling stuck, stressed, anxious, or unsure where to turn next, you’re in the right place.
I work with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and life with ADHD. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, wondering if ADHD might be part of your story, or making sense of a late diagnosis, I offer a space where your experiences are understood—not judged.
Therapy has been life-changing for me personally, too. I know what it means to sit in the client’s chair, and this helps me offer a warm, grounded, and genuinely human space. Together, we’ll work at your pace, helping you reconnect with who you are and feel more like yourself again.
How We’ll Work Together:
Therapy works best when you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. My approach is integrative with a strong person-centred foundation, which means sessions are shaped around you—your needs, your goals, and your way of moving through the world.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches in a flexible and sensitive way, adapting as we go so therapy feels relevant and helpful to your life right now.
I offer both in-person and online sessions. Most clients come weekly, but I understand that life and finances can get busy so if bi-weekly sessions suit you better, or a schedule bespoke to your needs we can explore that together.
Whether your difficulties are rooted in the present or connected to past experiences, my aim is to help you feel less stuck and move toward a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and aligned with who you truly are.
Special Areas of Interest:
Anxiety
Anxiety can show up in so many ways—constant worry, relationship stress, overthinking, physical tension, or intrusive thoughts that leave you exhausted. I help clients understand where anxiety comes from and how to manage it so it no longer controls their day-to-day life.
Trauma & Difficult Life Experiences:Trauma isn’t always a dramatic event—it can be anything that overwhelms your system or leaves a lasting emotional mark. This might include relationship endings, childhood experiences, or situations that felt unsafe or too much to cope with at the time. I offer a calm, compassionate space to process and heal these experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
ADHD Support (Adults & Young People):
I’m particularly passionate about working with ADHD—from early suspicions and “what ifs,” through to newly diagnosed or late-diagnosed clients. As someone diagnosed later in life myself, I bring both professional understanding and lived experience.
Some people come to explore whether ADHD might be part of their story. Others want support after receiving a diagnosis, or need help navigating work, school, relationships, or day-to-day life.
I offer a safe, validating space to explore your experiences
practical and solution-focused strategies
support with the assessment process
help gathering personal history or evidence for schools, workplace adjustments, or healthcare professionals
a neuro-affirming approach, focused on strengths, understanding, and empowerment
My aim is to help you understand your brain and build strategies that work with it, rather than against it.
Taking the First Step:
Reaching out to a therapist can feel daunting—I completely understand. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and get a feel for whether we’d be a good fit.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
