About me

How can I help?
With me you can be yourself and feel how you're feeling without having to mask.

I appreciate that it can be a daunting experience having counselling for the first time or working with a new counsellor so I focus on helping nervous clients feel comfortable. I pride myself on giving you a warm, non-judgmental and friendly space so you can explore difficulties in a safe and secure way.

The counselling I offer is based on the person centred approach and includes integrative elements drawing on many useful resources. With this training and experience I am able to offer clients a first class service suited to their individual needs.

What some of my clients have said...

"Sarah has provided me a safe space to explore my own mind, experiences, relationships, and helped me gain perspective that I've sorley needed in my life. Her person centred approach has allowed me to explore difficult and unexpected things and helped me navigate my feelings in a way that feels authentic and real. As a trainee counsellor I've developed massively as a father, son, brother and partner even more. Thank you for helping me to feel comfortable in myself"

"Thank you for all the help and support Sarah. You really helped me to get through a difficult time in my life. I have also managed to overcome some recent events which would normally have taken me years or never to deal with and let go. You are a fantastic and beautiful lady with a very warm heart"

"Thank you for listening to me Sarah. You have made me so much better"

"Thank you so much for all your support getting me to a place where I feel a better person and able to cope with my family issues. I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't made that message. I feel like a new person"

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
