About me

Asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do and whatever your reason for thinking about having therapy, I will listen and help you to explore what is happening in your life.

I offer outdoor and online therapy.

I offer a calm, confidential space for you to talk and consider your situation. I can help you develop coping strategies to deal with anxiety and depression or relationship issues and to explore the patterns, thoughts or beliefs that might be causing difficulties for you.

It is really important that you find the right therapist for you so I offer a free 30 minute initial appointment where we can meet up, talk about what you are looking for and check that we are comfortable working together. If we decide to go ahead we can then book further weekly sessions as I believe this is the most effective way to build a therapeutic relationship together and for you to get the most out of your therapy sessions.

Please contact me on 07816643548 to arrange an appointment or go to my website http://www.stillspacestherapy.com for more information.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a significant amount of experience working with people. I worked in the advice sector for 20 years, including periods working for a housing association and for Citizens Advice.

I was a volunteer counsellor for a charity working with people who were affected by domestic and childhood abuse and rape for four years.

Five years ago I decided to set up my own therapy practise and to concentrate on providing counselling and psychotherapy as I know from personal experience as a client, and as a therapist, how valuable and transformative therapy can be for us and the people around us. I love my job and really enjoy seeing my clients make changes and grow in confidence.

I have experience helping people to address issues including depression, panic and anxiety, low mood and low self esteem and relationship problems.

I initially qualified as a counsellor and hold an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, I have an MSc in Psychotherapy and I am a Certified Transactional Analyst. I also have extensive training in Outdoor Therapy.
