About me

I believe that all human beings have the right to be heard! So many people don't feel truly heard or understood. I offer a safe and empathetic space for you to be heard and I endeavour to, walk side by side with you on your journey. Together we will face anything that you bring to sessions and anything that might come up for you during the process. I want to provide a space where you feel able to; heal past and current hurts, work on personal growth and development, implement positive change, understand You and grow to be your best authentic self. Your sessions are your time.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Certificate in Counselling, St Vincent College.
  • Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, University of Chichester.
  • Certificate in Creative Art Therapies, University of Chichester.
  • Accredited practitioner in Infant and baby loss.

I have attended multiple training sessions in trauma, suicide prevention and awareness, LGBTQ+ and many more. I keep up to date with continuing professional development.

I worked for Portsmouth Abuse and Rape Counselling Services.

The Moving on Project where I worked with 11-26 year olds who brought a range of different experiences. While working for this agency we set up Y Health. A counsellor and a youth worker went into schools and youth clubs to provide a safe place for anyone in crisis, struggling or to provide education. My experiences and knowledge as a former Registered Nurse,  also proved very beneficial for some of the things that were brought to us.

I currently work with ceader oak baby loss charity and also The Youtrust. My work with The youtrust is with survivors of, sexual violence/abuse and domestic violence/abuse.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
