About me

Whatever challenges you may be facing – whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, stuck or overwhelmed – counselling can provide a confidential space for you to speak about what is distressing you.

As a counsellor, I believe in providing my clients with a non-judgmental, warm and empathic environment where together we can explore the difficulties you may be facing. Counselling is beneficial in developing personal insight and understanding; helping you make sense of your feelings and the core values and beliefs you hold. As your self-awareness increases, we can explore more effective ways of coping and what you want for yourself moving forward.

You may feel nervous about starting counselling but this is completely normal. I will be there to support you and will work to create a relationship where you feel listened to and safe to look into your concerns.

My therapeutic approach is predominantly person-centred and existential. I recognise that every person is unique and so tailor my approach to fit your needs and work at a pace that is comfortable for you.

If you would like to find out more about how we can work together, please get in touch and we can arrange a free initial telephone consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a CPCAB qualified counsellor, with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework. My registration number is 391022.

In addition to my Private Practice in Fulham and Wimbledon, I work as a counsellor for the organisation, Home-Start Merton, which is a charity that supports families with young children.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
