About me
We all need a helping hand sometimes. Are you struggling? With your life, past or present or with other relationships. Would you like to talk freely about how you feel? Then maybe counselling is right for you.
Going to a counsellor may seem like a big step. If you are not sure whether therapy is right for you, or if finding the right counsellor seems bewildering, we can arrange a call to discuss your concerns. This session would not involve any obligation to return.
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and trained at The Minster Centre in London, one of the most prestigious therapy colleges in the UK.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Working integratively means that I bring together many theories, techniques and perspectives as a way to respond to each unique person. I believe the therapeutic relationship can offer you the opportunity to explore your situation and consider what changes, if any, you may want to achieve.
I offer a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space to explore any issues or concerns that you have which may be impacting your life, your relationships and/or your emotional well-being. I aim to support you in how you are feeling, in either short-term (6-12 weeks), or longer-term counselling.
I offer counselling face to face and via Zoom.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from The Minster Centre, North London.
Being able to support my local community is important to me. Alongside my private practice, I have been a volunteer counsellor at Mind in Croydon and more recently with Arun Counselling Centre in Littlehampton.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
