About me

Hello!

My name is Ruth and I am a qualified counsellor, coach and Transactional Analysis practitioner. I am also a UKCP trainee Psychotherapist with advanced supervised clinical training in Psychotherapy (TA/Integrative).

I see people in-person on Tuesday and Wednesdays in Bromley, South East London, working from a restful cabin in my garden.  I offer online sessions on Mondays

I am also an Eco-therapist with a deep personal practice in somatic healing and movement. I can work with you outdoors and in walking therapy if you would prefer this.  I work on the West and North Norfolk Coast and also in South East London and Kent.

Why work with me?

I really value integrity and honesty.  I am an active partner for you to work through whatever brings you to therapy.

These values help me to be genuine whilst being respectful and facilitating clients towards their therapy goal(s).

I believe that we are all capable of different thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and that we all can change.  I respect individual uniqueness, whilst encouraging you to take responsibility for your own care, learning and development within a safe, boundaried and structured environment.

I provide an impartial, non-judgmental and supportive environment in which I encourage you to grow towards autonomy, intimacy and spontaneity.  I work in service of Physis, or life-force, which I believe is accessible to all beings.

I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation for us to talk about what you are bringing to therapy and to possibly arrange an appointment to meet face to face for an hour long assessment prior to committing to regular therapy.

You are welcome to contact me without obligation, for more information or with any questions you may have about Counselling, Psychotherapy
