About me

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

I'm Rosie and I offer Counselling and Alternative Therapies, working with Children, Young People and Adults. Based on a small family run farm near Barnstaple.

Therapies include:

  • Counselling (Face to face or online)
  • Outdoor Therapy
  • Pet Bereavement Counselling
  • Animal Assisted Therapy
  • Walk & Talk

Through my own experience of attending Counselling, I personally know how challenging it can be to sit down and talk to someone face to face. So if this has been the case for you, then I really do hear you. This is why I offer a range of services that are tailored to suit each individual, as I feel Counselling should be accessible to everyone.

If you are looking for Counselling with a difference, please feel free to get in touch. We live in such a beautiful part of Devon, we can make use of the picturesque countryside and all it has to offer.

Getting in touch

Considering or committing to Counselling can be a huge step, one which should be recognised and supported. I believe that finding the right Counsellor for you is so important and a process that shouldn't be rushed. This is and always should be your choice to make.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if what I offer feels right for you.

Each person seeking Counselling will be looking for something different, so having an informal chat beforehand can be beneficial. This can be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have. I will be open and honest about what I offer and there is no obligation to continue afterwards.

For Animal Assisted Therapy, a 30 minute face to face session is also required to ensure compatibility.

If you would like to see what we get up to, you can find us on Facebook - PAWS for Thought Counselling.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
