About me

Hi, I'm Rebecca and welcome to my profile.  I specialise in helping people struggling with anxiety, stress and depression due to low self esteem or confidence.

For example:

Do you overthink relationships and friendships, worry what people think, analyse every social interaction and fear rejection?

Perhaps you feel fine until you scroll social media, compare yourself to others and no longer feel "good enough" which affects your mood?

Maybe saying no makes you feel anxious but people pleasing just increases stress and makes you feel resentful?

Or are you overwhelmed at work, fear making mistakes, or push yourself so hard that you are close to burnout?

When we worry what people think, fear rejection, criticise and compare ourselves it can create anxiety and stop us from living the life we want.

Sometimes this is due to experiences in childhood which have created patterns that can be hard to break without professional help.

If this sounds like you we can work together on:

*Self esteem and confidence

*People pleasing

*Perfectionism

*High Functioning Anxiety

*Feeling not good enough

*Work stress and burnout prevention

*Sleep problems

*Imposter syndrome

*low mood.

*Feelings of anxiety and panic

*Self criticism

*Relationship problems

*Alcohol use

*Excessive worry

*Feeling guilty or ashamed

*Stressful childhood experiences

You will always be offered a supportive space to share but also practical, evidence based tools designed to improve self esteem, anxiety and stress beyond our sessions.

About me

I am an integrative therapist and mindful self compassion teacher. I am passionate about helping people feel good about themselves because I know how debilitating it can be not to.

I know how that nagging sense of not being good enough and living with a constant need for approval feels.  In the past I have been so worried about what other people thought that its held me back from living the life I want and created stress & anxiety in my work and personal life.

When I discovered techniques that helped me reduce anxiety, accept myself, be comfortable in my own skin and meet my own needs it inspired me to train as a therapist and so that I can share these techniques with others.

When working with me you will always be offered a safe space to share so that you can work through things yourself including difficult events from the past if thats helpful. But I will also teach you proven, practical tools to help you move forward and feel better about yourself for life.

I offer a free 30 min consultation so that you can see how it feels to work with me.

If you would like to find out more about me you can visit my website at www.contentedmind.uk.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
