Rebecca Stambridge Integrative Therapist & Wellbeing Specialist. MBACP Dip.Couns

About me

I am an integrative counsellor and offer a very warm, supportive and non judgemental space so that you feel heard, understood and can increase your own awareness about whatever you're struggling with.

However, I have a solution focussed approach and will do my best to empower you with relevant tools to resolve short or long term issues and help you manage your mental health. I have trained in the latest evidence based techniques which are particularly useful for depression, anxiety, stress, self worth, anger, addiction/alcohol reduction which includes:

Mindfulness which can help you change your relationship with thoughts and feelings with awareness, acceptance and choice.

CBT which can help you challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours with practical exercises.

Compassion Focussed Therapy which can help you deal with self critisism and shame, often the cause of personal suffering, and face your fears with self compassion.

Coaching to help you work towards personal and professioanl goals.

As I strongly believe that anyone can improve their wellbeing with the right support, I have worked for national and local mental health charities for nearly 20 years from communications to advice work.  Recently I have delivered and managed wellbeing/psycho education services for local Mind and developed mindfulness resources for their national website.  I am also an Anxiety UK Approved Therapist.

I offer a range of services for different needs and budgets and see clients face to face in Glossop or Manchester. I also offer zoom, telephone or email wherever you are in the country..

If you would like to find out more about me go to my website www.contentedmind.uk. I also offer a FREE 30 min assessment session so that you can see how it feels to work together.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
