About me
Life has an unfathomable habit of throwing 'stuff' at us and at times becoming quite overwhelming; isolating; without choice & testing our resilience and usual strategies of coping to the limits. Counselling, can provide a period of time & space to reconnect, understand, become aware, & identify the choices that can lead to realistic and sustainable change.
I am an integrative counsellor; able to use different theoretical approaches in my practice. I am guided by an ethical & professional framework as a registrant member of the National Counselling Society. I attend monthly supervision sessions and take part in various continuing professional development opportunities to support my practice and registration.
My background - I am a veteran of the Queen Alexander's Royal Naval Nursing Service (I am no longer a registered general nurse); volunteering with Service charities and other community based groups.
Coming to personal counselling begins a journey that is not easy and takes courage. It can be challenging as you explore what is uppermost for you & the thoughts, feelings & emotions that surround that. I am available to anyone who feels that they need to talk to someone outside of family or friends, in a safe and confidential space.
Contact me via my phone number 0754 387 9460 or my email counselling.masters@outlook.com - I will get back to you as soon as is practically possible.
I look forward to meeting you soon……………

Further information
Your appointment is for 1 hour with the working part of the session being 50 minutes.
Sessions will take place in a natural health centre and we will negotiate the day & time; ideally this will be the same day & time for all your sessions. This also makes booking our counselling room easier.
At the first session we'll try and plan for 6 sessions with a review at the fourth session to see how things are going. This also helps us plan for the ending of our therapeutic relationship as endings are as important as beginnings. Confidentiality, any paperwork etc will also be explained and gone through.
If you need to cancel an appointment please do so a minimum of 24 hrs prior.
Non-attendance without notice will incur the full cost of the session at the following appointment.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
