About me

My name is Rebecca Elston (MSc), and I am a psychotherapist, based just outside Nottingham in the village of Radcliffe-On-Trent. I work indoors from my garden allotment therapy room, online, and outdoors in the local area.

Whether you have a specific issue that you would like the space to explore, are dealing with something longer term that is becoming difficult to manage, or would like to understand yourself more deeply, psychotherapy can be a valuable resource. I specialise in working with clients who want to better understand themselves and identity, whether historic events seem to be holding you back, there is a feeling of not fitting into family or social groups or struggles in relationships.

It is important to me that the therapeutic relationship is collaborative and respectful, and I strive to honour equity and autonomy.

I welcome you to be part of a space with me, where we can explore your experiences and patterns to understand the ways in which you want to relate to the world.

In order to make sure that we are the right therapeutic fit, I offer a free short telephone consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and am trained in ecological psychotherapy and working with the body.

My main areas of specialism are in neurodivergence, identity, intersectionality, existentialism, eco-anxiety and trauma.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
