About me

As an experienced qualified counsellor, I am passionate about establishing a professional therapeutic relationship. I feel this connection enables us to build trust and work collaboratively to explore the difficulties you may be experiencing. A fundamental component of my work is to support clients to find inner peace and balance in life. Also, to explore your current situation, find acceptance and bring about meaningful change. Through a process of growth, self-awareness, and self-discovery together we can achieve your goals.

I have had the privilege of providing a counselling service for the past 10 years, working therapeutically with children, young people, and adults. I have worked with many clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological issues. I work at your pace and utilise a various modalities to tailor our therapeutic journey to suit your needs.

I can offer counselling sessions in a setting that is calm, comfortable, and safe. A space just for you, that is supportive and non-judgmental. I will listen attentively and provide a safe, confidential reflective space to explore your issues. I offer sessions in person, online, over the phone and outdoors.

During the first session, we would complete an initial assessment, this will help me to develop an understanding of what you would like to explore during our sessions and for us to establish any goals of therapy you may have. I will also explain the counselling contract this helps you as the client, to develop an understanding of the counselling process, what to expect from counselling and ask any questions you may wish to ask.

I am based in Coventry, I work with children, young people and adults.  I can provide counselling in person, over the phone and via zoom. I offer a free 15-minute consultation over the phone where we discuss the issues or difficulties you may wish to explore further in counselling. As therapy is a very personal experience, having a conversation over the phone can be reassuring and offers you an opportunity to assess if I would be the right therapist for you. It is important that we feel we can work together and for you to feel comfortable and to understand what to expect from counselling.

If you feel that this would be of benefit to you, you can contact me by email or phone, and we can arrange a suitable time and day.

I am a registered member of the BACP (membership number 749142) and hold the relevant indemnity insurance to practice. I have experience of working within the current legislation & BACP ethical standards to ensure safe practice for clients at all times.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
