About me
Hello, I am Rachael, welcome to Sana Te Psychotherapy. I work from the heart in a somatic, embodied and creative way. Do you overthink and worry? Suffer with anxiety? Experienced bereavement and loss and are struggling with your grief? Still feel the wounds from childhood turning up in your adult life? Have you suffered traumas in your childhood? Struggle with ADHD symptoms? Has Menopause affected you significantly? You are not alone and I would be honoured to support you. My main areas of work involve these so If working somatically and creatively to heal resonates with you, please do read on.
Here's a little about me and my practice. I have worked for more than 25 years within university education, a local hospice and currently within front line services alongside my private practice. These experiences have allowed me to deeply understand and connect with how the impact traumas, childhood wounds and painful emotional experiences have on your everyday life. I am passionate about how strong the healing process can be when the right relationship qualities, approach and care are offered to you. I work with the whole person, body and mind and use creative ways of working with you towards healing alongside traditional talking therapy. This might be a sand tray, walking and talking sessions, drawing, mindfulness, somatic movements and breath work too. I am passionate about supporting the whole person, mind and body.
Having worked with people experiencing a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, low self-esteem, toxic relationships, grief and trauma or unresolved childhood wounds, I have and continue to develop my practice and therapeutic services I offer to support you in whatever you are experiencing. I am passionate about supporting people who are in emotional distress.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
