About us

We are a Christian charity offering person centred, integrative counselling to all (any faith or none) on a sliding scale donation basis at various venues throughout Cornwall, Berkshire. The service is given by qualified, voluntary, counsellors with the aim of increasing access to therapeutic counselling.

Philippi Trust  provides a safe, confidential environment where you will be listened to with understanding and respect, and where you can gain healing and understanding, and explore ways of moving forward.We offer a broad based, professional counselling service. It combines appropriate secular wisdom with the best of Christian practices in seeking to bring understanding and healing to those in need.

Training, qualifications & experience

All our counsellors hold a diploma (Level 4) in therapeutic counselling and many are accredited with the Association of Christian Counsellors ( a recognised counselling body). We have wide experience in counselling all aspects of life issues. The organisation meet regularly for CPD and business meetings, have a library of useful resources and encourage counsellors to undertake further training.

The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

We negotiate with the client a regular donation according to their ability to pay. We inform them of our costs and the current average private counselling charges. We have a limited option for gratis sessions.
