About me

Welcome!

These are challenging times. I am a counsellor based in East London/Essex area and I provide a confidential, safe space to help you find the solutions that are right for you.

Coming to counselling often means that you are ready for change, even if it is difficult to put that easily into words.

You may be feeling “stuck” in your relationship, your job, or just life in general, and are looking to change unhelpful patterns of behaviour; maybe your well-tried coping mechanisms are no longer working for you.

Being able to talk about what is on your mind, and feel listened to, in a safe and confidential environment, will help give you the opportunity to make sense of things and try out alternative choices and decisions.

Learning to trust your own instinct will help you develop a stronger sense of self and guide you towards achieving true autonomy in your life.

Getting in touch may offer the first step to a more exciting and rewarding life.

Together we can work towards uncovering your true potential.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Fees

Additional information

Fees: £50 for individual 50 minute sessions.

For Couples: £75 for a 50 minute session.

If you would like to arrange a session please contact me.

Our first session will provide you with an opportunity to see if you are happy to work with me, and would allow me to assess whether I feel I am the right person to help you.

During this first session we would discuss whether short term [maybe a set number of sessions] or longer term counselling would be appropriate to your needs and agree a set time for meeting.
