Specialist Child Therapist working with Children Available on request

Therapy gives what an untrained listener can not, that is hearing what you are not saying, Sometimes it is in more than words, it is how you feel. A professional will work with you to explore your experiences, feelings and issues and facilitate you to make sense your experiences. Counselling can provide that space away from your environment, so you can work with the therapist in the safety of the therapeutic frame, which is part of the psychodynamic school. This will help you to identify and make the changes you need to move forward in your life. I am a senior Counsellor with over , 18years experience working with Counselling and Psychotherapy at a deeper level , working with dreams ,night terrors and many other dynamics which affect your experiences and behavior, offering support warmth and understanding to individuals, couples, and young people Working With Continual Professional Development, I will continue to draw on research and evidence from the human psychology, combining these discipline's to form a holistic approach Which can help you make the positive changes you need in your life. When you feel you can't cope with life's challenges, Counselling can give you the key to open that closed door , and lead you, back on your path of life

A thought, If you suffer from sleep deprivation, this can have a massive impact on your daily life, I use NLP And visual guided imagery to return you back to a healthy sleep programme.

Why counselling? It is a way of bringing yourself to someone who can give you the safe space and empathy not sympathy "to just be"... The counsellor and yourself have to gel so that a therapeutic alliance can happen so that you feel safe and comfortable with them I believe that the mind and body are interconnected; The relationship of how one may affect the other.

Counselling and Psychotherapy can help you with regain the control back in you life, which you may feel you have lost. I offer a safe space, with empathy congruence understanding and confidentiality. I believe in tailoring the therapy for the client and not tailoring the client to the therapy. We are all individuals'

General Counselling
Prior to any therapy session or any intervention, an initial assessment is conducted to obtain relative information pertaining to the client’s presenting problems or issue of concern, upon such assessment an agreed time period, will be made for you, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it in a more autonomous way.

Assessment Appointment: Neurolinguistic Programming
Discussing the client’s needs to what they want to develop or manage in their life differently. To shed light upon the obstacles in their life that may be causing them to be stuck.

Within my professional and individual approach as a psychodynaic Counsellor , ACT NLP Practitioner, Visual aguided Imagery: I work within a therapeutic frame, this is a way of the client feeling safe and confident. I believe it is important to give empathy and support to the client, so they can have the confidence to bring into therapy the difficulties that face them. Therapy is not an exact science, so it would be impossible to fit the client into a particular model of psychotherapy. My experience and training includes working with a range of approaches and strategies. I work with dreams, this is a very creative way of working with clients and can sometimes open up what is going on, through interpretation it can move the client on in a positive way. It is paramount that the client and I build a therapeutic alliance as the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor.

I work within the private sector. in a NHS mental health setting for over 2 1/2years . BasildonMental Unit .I practice now in Braintree Essex. I practised in Harley Street London p I have also worked within the drug and alcohol field for over 13 years ,I am committed to providing counselling Psychotherapy and psychodynamic counselling in a safe and confident way. Being a professional Practitioner in this field it is compulsory and of the utmost importance to use our time in Continual Professional Development And regular counselling Supervision. This has enabled us to bring in other concepts to practice with; solution focused brief therapy, Visual guided Imagery, Relaxation, Neuro linguistic programming (NLP) workshops to attain my own Personel Growth,

NB: Guided Imagery/hypnotherapy/relaxation are deemed as effective therapeutic tools and are not therapy or counselling. However It can assist a client in areas of sleep deprivation and panic attacks

Sometimes, we find it difficult to ask for help. There are times when we are not sure what it is that we need help for? Times when we can not sleep or think. This gives rise to feeling the pressure that life brings us. Counselling and psychotherapy is an approach that will give you the strength to work through your deep seated emotional problems and  in coming to terms with both the emotional and physical pain it brings.

I am mindful how difficult it is to ask for professional help. It is important that you feel safe and comfortable. I have been a member of the BACP for 18 years plus . They  are a regularity body responsible for setting high standards of good practice. I abide very closely to these code of ethics

As a member of the BACP I am bound by its code of ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedures

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Sleep Deprivation. Dream Interpretation   Meditation   Sleep Discs

I work with dreams in the therapeutic frame,This is implicit to the dreamer, our dreams have a way of telling us a story however, the signs in our dreams are about our daily experiences, when sublimation occurs, you may be confused as to what is your dream trying to tell you. However when the therapeutic alliance is formed between the Client and therapist, the therapist can interpret what is happening, when they know their history and background, through the confidentiality in the session.

Visual Guided Imagery can be used within the the session to develop ways of working with sleep deprivation and panic.
