Person-Centred Attachment Based and Trauma-L4 Dip, MBACP

About me

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, thoughts filled with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship struggles, or even painful thoughts you may not have shared with anyone. Perhaps you notice patterns in your relationships, maybe you're feeling too dependent, or pulling away just as closeness starts to grow. You might be carrying the weight of trauma, abuse, or unresolved pain, unsure of how to begin letting it go. You are not alone and you don’t have to navigate this by yourself.

I am a qualified Person-Centred and Attachment-Based Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, with specialist training in trauma and experience supporting individuals facing deep emotional challenges. My approach also draws on Transactional Analysis, with a focus on relational issues, anxiety, attachment wounds, abuse, and trauma. I also offer insight into the body’s response to trauma, helping you gently regulate your nervous system and build a greater sense of emotional safety.

Together, we’ll explore the patterns that shape your relationships - with partners, parents, friends, or even with yourself, with compassion and curiosity. I aim to help you understand where these dynamics come from, what might be missing, and how to move forward in a way that honours your unique needs.

I have experience working with survivors of sexual abuse, and understand the far-reaching impact trauma can have, not just emotionally, but physically and relationally. You will be offered a space where you are truly heard, held, and supported. This is a confidential environment where you don’t need to wear a mask or keep up a brave face, I want you to just bring yourself, exactly as you are.

I am ADHD and Autistic aware, and I warmly welcome individuals from the LGBTQI+ community.

In your first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment, in a calm, private therapy room with comforting touches like soft cushions and blankets. I will gently guide you through the process, explain how we’ll work together, and give you space to share what feels right for you. You can speak at your own pace, and I will listen without judgement, clarifying anything I don’t understand.

Sometimes, even those closest to us don’t fully understand what we’re going through and that’s where professional support can make a real difference. Therapy is not about fixing you, because you are not broken but about helping you uncover strength, understanding, and a sense of self that may have been hidden under years of survival.

Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it can also be life-changing. If you’re ready to feel heard and supported, I invite you to get in touch for a confidential chat about how we can work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
