About me
I completed my post-graduate diploma in Humanistic Counselling from Brighton University in 2011 and have been working as a counsellor since then. I am BACP registered and work within their ethical guidelines. I have a DBS enhanced check to work with young people under the age of 18. I work with people aged 13 and above from any ethnicity, cultural background, neurodiversity etc and can help with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, anger, low mood, self harm, low self esteem, bereavement, transitions. I also provide intergenerational mediation or duo counselling between caregiver and young person. This can help disagreements and encourage positive communication.
I work in a safe, non-judgemental confidential way for you to be able to explore your feelings and create a more fulfilling life.
I offer online work or face to face work from two locations in Hove: 198 Church Road opposite Tescos and on Wednesdays at Palmeira Practice 40 Wilbury Road near Church road.
You are brave to have taken these first steps into finding a counsellor. Finding the right person for you is very important: research shows that the relationship between client and counsellor is the most important factor in enabling change for the client. I offer a free 30 minute introductory session so that you can see if you would like to work with me and ask me any further questions. I will ask you some questions about what you may like to get out of counselling and get some of your background story.
I can offer short term more solution focused work of work of 6-12 session or more longer term if that is what you would like. I will be led by you.
Do look at my website for any more information you may need or email or text me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
