Training, qualifications & experience

My Experience

I currently work partially in Independence Practice but also for the NHS providing neurorehabilitation for people with Brain Injuries.

I have worked for Mersey Care NHS Trust, the Walton Centre NHS Trust, St Helens NHS Trust; the Priory Group, and St Andrews Healthcare. This involved working with people of all ages and with a range of complex conditions, including autism, learning disabilities, brain injuries and forensic needs.

I provide medico-legal work, assessing people who have been involved in road traffic accidents, work accidents, medical negligence, and provide psychological and neuropsychological reports for the Courts.

I work with solicitors, case managers, local authorities, social services, and charities who support people who have been trafficked and victims of modern slavery.

Many of the organisations who refer people to me include the Home Office, NHS, Social Services across England, employers, solicitors, case managers, and so on.

My approach

I work from a range of models depending on your requirements. The therapies I use include

  • cognitive behavioural (CBT)
  • acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Further information

The building is fully accessible, with lift, accessible toilets and child facilities on ground floor, toilets on each floor, trained reception staff, small reception areas on each floor, and an amazing cafe downstairs with delicious food.

When entering the building, please go to reception and inform them of your arrival. They will ask you to sign in the arrival book (for Health & Safety reasons), and they will let me know of your arrival. You may also text me to say you have arrived.

If you arrive early, please wait in the allocated reception area or elsewhere, but please do not try to find our office or knock at the office door, as I will be with other clients. Once the time for your appointment is up, I will find you in the building or text you to find out where you are.

I run a laid-back and friendly service, but I will be very curious and interested in you and your situation, so I may ask a lot of questions and may ask you to think deeper about the issue we may be talking about.
