About me

You might be a woman in her 30s or 40s who spends a lot of time looking after others, anticipating their needs and keeping everything running. Saying yes to others feels easy but saying yes to yourself is much harder. You hold yourself to high standards, struggle to rest without guilt and may feel exhausted or quietly resentful. If you've been told you're "too sensitive", if you're the one everyone else leans on, if rest feels like something you have to earn then this might resonate.

Many of the women I work with feel overwhelmed without always knowing why. They're carrying a lot mentally and emotionally yet find it difficult to identify or express their own needs. People-pleasing, self-criticism and a constant pressure to do more or be better can leave you feeling tense, drained and disconnected from what matters.

How therapy can help and what can change

In therapy, we gently explore how you relate to yourself, especially the inner voice that judges or pushes you. Together, we look at patterns in your thoughts, emotions and relationships and begin to understand where they come from. Over time, this can create space for more self-compassion, clarity and choice.

Clients often describe finally being able to say no without the guilt spiral, feeling less like they're performing in their own life and starting to trust that their needs matter too. Many also find they're more able to express their emotions and take up space in relationships in a way that feels natural rather than forced.

My work is shaped by my own experience of people-pleasing and suppressing my needs. I understand how important emotional connection is and how painful it can feel to be unseen. Creating emotional safety is central to my work - offering a space where you can soften rather than brace yourself.

What therapy I offer

I'm an integrative psychotherapist, meaning I tailor therapy to you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and mindfulness-based approaches. My work often focuses on easing self-criticism, building a more supportive relationship with yourself and reconnecting with what's really important to you.

I place strong importance on creating a safe, warm and collaborative space. Therapy with me is somewhere you don't have to perform or get it "right" - a place where you can feel understood, supported and able to move forward in a way that feels sustainable.

Practical information

I offer online therapy via video sessions, allowing you to access therapy from wherever feels most manageable for you. Sessions are 50 minutes and I offer weekly appointments. My fee is £90 per session.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am fully accredited with the BABCP. This means I have undertaken further work and have been assessed further to meet the "gold standard" of CBT therapy.

Psychotherapy Training

I am trained in and practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I also have completed additional training in working with those with Long Term Physical Health conditions such as diabetes, chronic pain and chronic fatigue. As an integrative therapist, I am able to draw upon these skills which allows me to adapt treatment to what suits you best.

I completed a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Groupwork and since being qualified, I have practiced within the NHS, Bupa and Charity Counselling organisations.

Prior Relevant Experience

Prior to my current work as a Psychotherapist, I have a background in supporting people where I spent many years working to support and empower individuals within the Criminal Justice System. I have an Undergraduate Diploma in Sociology and Criminology.

Additional information

I offer a free 15minute telephone discussion where you can briefly ask any questions about the therapy I offer to help figure out if we would like to arrange an initial session.

All sessions last 50minutes. Initially, we will complete a full assessment where we will explore what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. It will also allow you time to decide whether therapy with myself may be helpful for you and you can ask me questions about the therapy I provide to make sure it is a good fit for you.
