About me

It can be quite intimidating to share your thoughts and feelings with a stranger. The idea of therapy might feel uncertain, leaving you wondering if it's the best path for you to take.

It is absolutely okay to acknowledge that you might need some support during challenging times. Asking for help is a sign of strength and courage, and it can lead to valuable self-discovery and growth. Remember that seeking support is a proactive step towards improving your well-being and navigating life's ups and downs more effectively.

With the right support and environment, I believe we all have the ability to be able to explore and make sense of our own troubles. Enabling us to be able to live our best life.

I am a fully qualified BACP registered counsellor. I provide a confidential, non-judgemental supportive environment to explore difficulties safely.

At the end of the day. we are all human beings, and sometimes life is hard. It is OK to need support. Life throws us challenges that we aren’t always prepared to handle.

I work from a discreet building set in the beautiful surroundings of the Cropwell Bishop area of Nottinghamshire.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me to have an initial discussion about how I may be able to support you. I believe that the relationship is so important and this will give us the chance to see if we feel we can work together.

You don’t have to feel alone with your thoughts. Talking it out and feeling understood by someone out of your circle can be really powerful.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
