About me
I know that looking for the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and if you’re reading this, you might be going through a tough time. First, I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to reach out for support, you don’t have to do this alone.
I’m a qualified, BACP-registered counsellor based in Nottinghamshire, and I’m here to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can be heard, understood, and supported.
Life can be incredibly hard at times—whether you’re struggling with grief, anxiety, stress, or low self-esteem. Maybe you’re not even sure what’s wrong, just that something doesn’t feel right. Whatever you’re facing, we’ll work through it together at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is down-to-earth, non-judgmental, and tailored to you. Opening up can feel daunting, but my goal is to make this space feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
Anxiety can feel overwhelming, racing thoughts, constant worry, and a sense of unease that’s hard to shake. It can impact your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. Through counselling, we’ll explore the root of your anxiety, identify triggers, and develop practical strategies to help you regain a sense of calm and control. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can untangle your thoughts, build resilience, and find ways through with confidence.
I work from a discreet building set in the beautiful surroundings of the Aslockton area of Nottinghamshire. I can also provide sessions through telephone and video conferencing.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me to have an initial discussion about how I might be able to help you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified, BACP-registered counsellor with significant experience in pre- and post-bereavement counselling, as well as supporting individuals through anxiety, stress, and trauma. My qualifications include:
ABC Level 2 in Counselling Concepts
ABC Level 3 in Therapeutic Counselling
CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Alongside my formal training, I have gained invaluable experience working in a variety of settings. I have the privilege of supporting individuals and families in a hospice setting, helping them navigate grief and loss with care and understanding.
As a volunteer police officer, I worked directly in the field, which gave me deep insight into the emotional and psychological challenges faced by those in high-pressure, often traumatic situations. This experience has strengthened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the unique emotional toll that comes with frontline roles.
Additionally, my volunteer work with Cruse Bereavement has further developed my ability to offer tailored, compassionate support to those experiencing loss.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
