About me
Are you experiencing feelings that you no longer want? Are there elements of your life that you would like to see change?
You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, depressed, lonely, confused or lacking in confidence. I can help you to untangle your thoughts and find ways to break cycles. Our work together may include:
- Helping you to make sense of what has happened and develop a different way of viewing things.
- Exploring and understanding specific events that stick in your mind.
- Processing and addressing difficult feelings, emotions and relationships.
- Addressing self-criticism, changing patterns and behaviour.
- Identifying options, making decisions and planning next steps.
I am passionate about de-mystifying the therapeutic process and have a clear and compassionate therapeutic style. With empathy, curiosity and humour I build safe and authentic relationships with my clients. Through exploration, support and challenge my clients understand themselves better and are able to start living their lives differently.
My work is integrative which means that I draw upon a range of therapeutic models and theories to support my clients. This bespoke approach allows your needs to guide our work. Through self-exploration, within a professional, confidential, non-judgemental environment, you can explore, understand, accept and challenge the thoughts, feelings and actions that are negatively impacting your life. Together we can identify ways of bringing about positive change.
I am a fully qualified and insured psychotherapist and member of the BACP (which means I practice within a detailed and robust ethical framework). I specialise in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life changes, low self-esteem, anger or who are stuck in patterns of people pleasing, avoidance, procrastination, frustration and fear.
Next steps
It is important to take the time to find a therapist who is the right fit for you. Asking for help is an important step and seeking professional support is not self-indulgent or a sign of weakness. Counselling can help you when you are struggling and need your life to be different.
If you would like to arrange a free introductory call just get in touch. When you contact me, we will agree a good time for us to speak. During the introductory call you can talk me through what has brought you to counselling and the type of support that you are looking for. I’ll explain how I work and how we would work together. I will ensure that we have time for me to answer any questions that you have.
If, following our introductory call, you decide that you would like to begin working with me, we will find a slot for our first session. Please note that if we work together there is no expectation that you commit to a minimum or maximum number of sessions. You are free to begin and finish counselling whenever feels right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Availability
I am able to offer daytime & evening sessions Mon-Fri & some Saturday morning sessions.
Many clients choose to meet with me in a regular slot every week as they feel that they benefit from the structure that this brings. However, I also believe that it is important to offer flexibility regarding when, and how often, I meet my clients. You may not be able to commit to meeting on the same day at the same time each week. You may be a shift worker or have caring responsibilities. We can talk through how we can manage your counselling support to fit with your work or other life commitments.
Whatever your circumstances, please feel free to ask about the flexibility I provide. I am committed to removing barriers that might make it difficult for you to get the support that you need. Please also note that there is no expectation that you commit to a minimum or maximum number of sessions. You are free to begin and finish counselling whenever feels right for you.
