About me
About my practice and approach
I provide individual therapy, outdoor therapy and group therapy in Nottingham and Derbyshire.
My aim is to create a safe space for you to feel supported and explore whatever is important to you. My hope is that you will feel more resourced, regulated, connected and confident, where you can discuss any challenges you're facing, discover new understanding and find personal growth, meaningful change and healing.
I work in an interconnected and holistic way, considering our mind-body-emotions and relationship with the wider environment and nature. I have a creative and embodied approach, and offer ways of working that enable you to engage in a creative and embodied process. This might involve giving things a specific shape and form with objects. By doing so, we may see things differently and makes sense of things that may have previously been invisible, intangible or difficult to talk about.
This process is unique for everyone and I will work with you to find a way and pace of working that feels ok and fits for you. No prior experience of working creatively, embodied or therapy is needed.
About me
I started my psychotherapy training in 2014, and have worked in private practice since 2020. I also provide individual and group therapy to different voluntary and statutory services, and run CPD workshops across the UK and online.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in a range of outdoor, educational and youth and community work settings.

How to get started
I offer a free 20-minute phone call where you can find out more about my practice.
We can also arrange an initial meeting where you can share what you would like to achieve from therapy and explore if working together with me would be a good fit. There is no commitment or obligation to continue therapy with me afterwards.
Please feel free to get in touch, either by text, phone or email.
Warmly,
Kirsty

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
