About me
Do you need a space to talk about your challenges, worries or concerns?
As a person-centred counsellor, I can support you to explore the tricky stuff in a way that is led by you. Counselling with me is an opportunity to work through the complexities of life in a kind, compassionate and non-judgemental way.
We often find ourselves seeking counselling when there is turmoil, conflict or difficulties in our lives that won’t allow us to settle. My person-centred base means that you are the expert on your journey – reflecting on these experiences can help us to live alongside them and ease the distress they bring. My hope is that our work together will support you in gaining awareness of your way of relating to the world, empower you to be curious about your thoughts and feelings and so ease the unease that you might be experiencing.
I believe that the relationship between us is fundamental to our work. Knowing you are truly heard will allow you to begin to untangle the difficulties you are facing.
I work with adults and young people and support you to build a more positive relationship with yourself. Please get in touch if you'd like to know more about the way we might work together.

I work as a counsellor within the charity sector and within my own private practice. I have extensive experience of working within schools, both mainstream and then specialising in SEN provisions. In my counselling work I have supported individuals who have wanted to work through their relationship with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, grief, childhood trauma, body image, complex family issues and living with overwhelming feelings.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
