About me

Hello my name is Kayleigh, thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer a listening ear, in a non-judgemental and confidential space. I respect that everyone has their own unique story.

If you feel that you are ready to talk through what is troubling you, together we can begin to explore the issue. If you have been experiencing stress or anxiety in relation to an ongoing problem, or these feelings may have become more apparent since the pandemic, whatever the reason, the opportunity to talk it through may allow you to take back the control in your life.

Starting therapy can be scary for some people, however you have already taken the first step.

Testimonials

“Kayleigh and I had weekly then bi-weekly sessions over 9 months and they were incredibly beneficial.

Kayleigh creates a safe space and I found it easy to open up to her and I felt I could bring anything and everything to the table and I always left feeling lighter.

My needs changed throughout our sessions, initially focused on present issues and then once those were resolved, we delved into the past and childhood, so it was great to be able to steer the sessions in whichever way I needed to and Kayleigh was right there with me, rather than trying to force things in a particular direction.

I’m happy to say that we ended our sessions due to me no longer requiring that support as Kayleigh had helped me over the time we worked together. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kayleigh to anyone and would have more sessions with her myself if needed in the future.”

“After finding that I was struggling with some personal issues I found Kayleigh through the local network of counselling services.

Following the initial meeting online I found Kayleigh to be open and easy to talk to. Over the course of our sessions Kayleigh allowed me to speak freely without judgement but with a quiet sense of direction that steered me into realising where I could make change within my life.

I would happily recommend Kayleigh as an approachable, sensitive and professional counsellor.”

“Kayleigh provided a safe environment where I felt able to talk through and explore a number of issues. She helped me to understand the root of the things which were holding me back and with her help I was able to face and move past them. I would definitely recommend working with Kayleigh.”

I really value my sessions with Kayleigh, they provide a safe space to untangle my thoughts. Kayleigh balances being a non judgemental listening ear with encouraging me to interrogate my assumptions and challenging me in a beneficial and kind way.

I’ve been provided with tools which I can use in my day to day which I find hugely helpful.
Kayleigh is a calm and kind voice and I would wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone as their compassionate approach and diverse expertise are applicable across a broad spectrum of mental health challenges.”

Availability

I am available for daytime and evening sessions. Depending on your preference, we can work together over the phone or via Zoom or Skype.

Send me a message and I will contact you to arrange your 30 minute free assessment at your convenience. This will give you the chance to ask me any questions. Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
