About me

Hi there, thank you for viewing my page.  I'm Julie a qualified counsellor and coach. I offer in person counselling in Heswall, online or phone sessions, weekend and evening appointments available.  Life can be challenging at times, If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, self-critical, stressed, have low self-esteem, suffering a loss, have relationship issues, burn-out or If things in your life feel too much at the moment, I can help & asking for help takes courage.  My theoretical approach is person-centred counselling, meaning that I put you, at the heart of your sessions. I believe that everyone has the capacity to look within themselves and develop new perspectives in their lives.

I aim to make your sessions with me a safe space to speak openly, to explore your feelings, without feeling judged, you will be supported, heard & together we can explore what feels important to you and what may be holding you back from feeling your true self. I have worked with clients feeling anxious, stressed, separating, menopausal & other issues that affected their life and wellbeing. Through counselling they have found  their mental health and well-being and relationship with themselves and others has improved.

My career background is in employment coaching, I have worked with clients with barriers to work, health issues, and have helped them get into employment. I am passionate about mental health, well-being, empowering and motivating people to help them regain a healthier perspective on life. I am committed to giving you space to grow and empower yourself to make changes best for you. I would love to hear from you, if you would like to take the next step towards getting a clearer sense of yourself and direction in life, please give me text or call & we can have a chat about what you are looking for from counselling.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
