I work with all aspects of Mental Health including Trauma - PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Anxiety.  I offer Trauma Interventions with The Rewind Technique and Cognitive Restructuring, all aspects of Abuse and Addiction/Addictive Behaviour.  I also work with Bereavement and all aspects of Change & Loss.  I offer Face to Face Counselling; Online via Teams or Video Call and Telephone Counselling - whatever suits the individual.

A 15 minute Free Introductory Session via Online or Telephone

This is an Free Introductory Session to ensure that you feel comfortable with me and that the Therapeutic Relationship can develop, which is where the Healing takes place.  This session can take place early evenings throughout the week or any week day throughout the daytime.   I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about Counselling.  You are very welcome to contact me!

The First Counselling Session

During the first Counselling Session of 50 minutes, I will invite you to tell me more about your reasons for wanting Counselling at this time.  As you are talking to me, I am listening very carefully for themes and patterns and I may ask you some questions.  We can then decide together on the focus of the work and how we move forward together.  I offer a very warm, empathic, safe and non-judgemental space and my practice is strongly influence by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is my Training background.

How often do the Counselling Sessions take place?

The frequency of the sessions is usually fortnightly - however, I can work with what you are looking for.

How much do the Counselling Sessions cost?

The Cost is £55 per session.

I encourage you to reach out and make contact with me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
