About me

If you are searching for a safe and non-judgmental environment to reflect on your current experiences and challenges, counselling can help you achieve that and much more. I am a positive individual who is committed to helping others become more self-aware and resilient.

I use person-centred, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioural therapy approaches to tailor my counselling to the unique needs of each client. I work with a broad range of clients who have experienced work-related stress, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and other conditions. My aim is to build clients' self-confidence and self-awareness while also exploring practical solutions.

I provide clients with the tools and strategies they need to manage and cope with their challenges. Some of the techniques I use include behavioural activation, relaxation, thought challenging, behavioural experiments, exposure therapy, and cognitive restructuring.

"Growth occurs when individuals confront problems, struggle to master them, and through that struggle develop new aspects of their skills, capacities, views about life" Carl Rogers.

However, I am also available to provide long-term support as well as one-off single sessions, depending on the needs and preferences of my clients.

  • Certificate in Solution Focused Therapy
  • Level 5 Diploma Cognitive Behavioural Skills and Theory

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The types of therapy I offer

Person-Centred Counselling is a therapy that focuses on the individual and allows the client to take the lead. It aims to build self-awareness, and resilience, and recognise the client's strengths.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is a short-term, goal-focused therapy that helps clients identify what is within their control and create solutions to problems. It also encourages individuals to make healthy changes in their mindset, to be more positive and optimistic.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy explores the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. It helps individuals recognise patterns of thinking and behaviours that negatively impact their lives. By making behavioural changes and challenging negative thoughts, individuals can improve their well-being.
