About me

Hello, I provide individual, couple, and multi-partner psychosexual and relationship therapy. This is a space for you to explore your sense of sexual self, how you connect with this, and find new ways to approach this aspect of your life. I provide therapy online and have availability during the week.

The sexual self is unique, individual and evolves through the lifespan. Most people will experience changes, challenges and difficulties connected to intimacy at some point in their life. My role is to support you through this process to work towards more fulfilling intimacy and relationships. Psychosexual and relationship therapy provides a space to explore your sexual self, your relationships, and how things could change in a supportive and compassionate environment. I believe in a sex positive, empowering framework which recognises the diversity of human sexual expression.

Psychosexual therapy can help in a wide range of areas including:

  • Wanting to explore your relationship with sex/sexuality
  • Looking at how to express your sexual desires
  • Navigating what you would like your romantic and sexual relationship/s to look like
  • Early ejaculation
  • Unreliable erections
  • Loss of desire/ desire discrepancy
  • Difficulty reaching orgasm
  • Pain during sex (vaginismus, dyspareunia, vulvodynia)
  • Compulsive sexual behaviours
  • Sexual difficulties arising after medical interventions
  • Life changes and their impact on your sexual self (for example, having children, the peri/menopause)
  • Body image
  • Achieving your sexual goals

I can also work with parents and care givers who are unsure about how to talk to their children about relationships and sex.

I currently work part time as a psychosexual therapist in the NHS as well as my private practice. Further information

We can arrange a free phone call to meet each other and see if you would like to work together. Psychosexual therapy usually includes two assessment sessions where we will explore a range of areas and try to build a picture of what is going on. This allows us to put together a formulation and plan for how we would like to work together.

In general, I work with clients on a weekly basis as this supports us to build a therapeutic relationship and sense of momentum. At the moment, I deliver therapy online over Zoom and have availability on Mondays and Thursdays.

You can read more or message me through my website: or find me on Instagram @jesshoar

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. I aim to respond within 72 hours.
