About me

I am an experienced and qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a Level 6 degree in Counselling. I'm also currently completing a Diploma in Trauma Therapy and have extensive experience working with survivors of sexual violence and domestic violence. I am a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) (MBACPReg.) and abide by their Code of Ethics.

I am a warm and relational psychotherapist. I provide a space for clients to explore all parts of themselves. This space is free of judgment and fuelled by empathy, acceptance, curiosity and creativity. I believe in the power of an objective space in which you can heal and make sense of your inner world and collaboratively find a way forward.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and I use different interventions in different times based on my client’s needs. This means I can cater to my client as a unique individual rather than expect them to fit into a ready-made structure.

I mainly work in the Relational, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Somatic approaches. This means I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. I am open to exploring childhood and past wounds. I give control and power over to the client throughout our work, in order to strengthen their sense of self. And finally, I believe that the body communicates and holds emotion as much as the mind does. The nervous system, body language, breath, muscles and posture can be affected by our emotional worlds and I seek to listen to what they are saying in my work.

I work with a range of presenting issues, such as; anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, sexuality, relationship issues, stress, self-worth, trauma, anger, etcetera.

I can offer open-ended therapy or a limited amount of sessions, whichever suits you best.

If you are interested in working with me please email me here. I would love to hear from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
