My passion in life has always been to help others. Everybody can experience healing and find new meaning in life, with the right guidance. Helping People to overcome Depression and Anxiety by reframing perspectives and beliefs that influence thinking patterns that can lead to a sense of hopelessness. rewiring thought processes and helping you find perpose again.

By exploring your past and challenging belief systems that has been cemented by early experiences. Gaining a deeper understanding of our inner world can help to change our experience of life today. How you perceive the world will directly affect how you experience it, and our experience of the world will affect we operate in it. Most of us wish to change curtain arias of our lives but are unsure why we cant do it or why we do what we do. Change can often start with a shift of perspective

I am  Psychodynamic trained therapist with specialism in Addictions and family's affected by Addictions. I am well practiced in working with trauma and adverse childhood experiences. I help to bring the unconscious mind to the conscious to bring into focus what we may not already know about ourselves, shedding light on inner issues that may hold us back.

I am IFS informed and embrace other techniques such as CBT and DBT to tailor to individual client needs. internal family systems looks at the parts of ourselves that are stuck. whether this an inner critic, or a part of us that is fearful of moving forwards. Listening to conflicting parts can help relax the uncomfortable defences, helping people to be free from painful patterns they may be repeating.

I am practiced in working with depression and anxiety, addictive behaviors, self-esteem, co-dependency, perfectionism, eating disorders and other interpersonal relationships issues. CBT and DBT is a way I help clients examine their thinking and belief systems. The influence of these, and how they impact life. I work to increasing resilience to difficult emotions if they feel too overwhelming and helping the client to overcome and move through difficult times.

I work compassionately and interrogatively using different skills to bring about change for the individual. Therapy is a deeply personal experience and should be uniquely tailored to the person.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
