About me

Sometimes life events can be challenging and difficult leading to feelings of anxiety,  being overwhelmed and stressed or just feeling sad or down. At times like these it can help to talk things through in a confidential environment with someone who is not directly involved.

I am a qualified counsellor with over 5 years' experience of working in the NHS and for the past year with University students.  I have experience of working with adults and teenagers on a range of topics, including cancer, anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem and abuse. I offer short or long term counselling.

I am a humanistic counsellor, I value the uniqueness of each person and their experiences and I work in a supportive, non-judgmental way based on a person-centred approach.  I draw on techniques from other disciplines, such as mindfulness and NLP, which allows me to work flexibly and tailor the counselling to suit my client’s needs.

Further information

I offer both time limited and open ended counselling.

The rooms that I use are close to Chichester Centre (approximately an 8 minute walk) but if space, there is roadside, 1 hour parking available. Alternatively, the closest public car park is the Cattle Market car park near town centre. Bus stops are nearby. I also work from the peaceful and beautiful location of Hamblin Hall in Bosham, which has plenty of free off street parking.

I adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

I attend regular Supervision to support my work.

I have Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance  and I am DBS checked.

Please do e mail, text or leave a message if I am unable to take your initial call.  I aim to always respond to contacts within one working day.
