About me
Looking to better understand yourself, change difficult thoughts, feelings, relationships or behaviour? Perhaps you’re going through major life transitions? I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor I seek to create a safe space for clients to feel seen, heard and understood. I work with people to help them be more connected to themselves and others; to live life with greater awareness, vitality and joy.
Life can feel overwhelming and we can get into patterns that are unhelpful and destructive.
I work with clients of all sexualities and identities. Whatever brings you to therapy I seek to provide a safe, confidential space for you to:
- explore and process difficult feelings and thoughts
- share things you may not have spoken to anyone about
- gain new insight into the challenges you face
- develop self-care and self-compassion
- find better ways to communicate and relate to others
- develop ways to change thoughts, feelings and behaviours you find problematic
- find your own unique way of living more fully
- heal from trauma
This work can be over a relatively short time or longer term.
I have experience of working with clients around relationship difficulties, including sexual, romantic relationships, relationships with parents, siblings and friends. Clients who have been impacted by addiction to alcohol, drugs or gambling themselves or their family members have come to me for therapeutic support. I am also skilled at working with clients struggling with anxiety, childhood trauma, life changing health conditions, sexuality, depression, grief and low self-esteem.
I offer individual and couples psychotherapy and counselling online, by phone and in person in Hove and in Henfield.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor. I have training in a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches, including a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Transactional Analysis), a Foundation in Analytical Psychology, training in Psychosynthesis and a Certificate in Counselling.
I draw on this training and my experience to tailor the way I work with each individual.
I am experienced working in private practice and a number of charities.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

£60.00 per session
Additional information
I charge £60 for a fifty minute session in person, online and on the phone. I work with clients face to face in Henfield and Hove.
I charge £75 for a 55 minute relationship counselling session for people coming with their partner(s), or family member or friend.
I offer a brief phone conversation, free of charge, prior to arranging a first appointment.
