About me

Life can present us with everyday struggles and anxieties which can impact us and stop us from feeling like our true selves. I aim to work with you, to help you to get where you want to be and live the life you want to live.

Hi, I'm Hayley, a person centred Counsellor offering nationwide sessions by telephone & online and in-person sessions in Talbot Green, South Wales.

I offer a relaxed environment for you to bring any difficulties you'd like to focus on, big or small. Whether you're new to counselling or have previous experience, we will work together to tailor a personal plan for your needs. I offer counselling in either one off sessions, pre-agreed blocks (4,8,12,16) or open ended work, depending on your preference.

Some people like to bring specific goals to their sessions, whereas others are more comfortable with a more explorative approach - seeing where our work will naturally take us.

I use a combination of Humanistic Existential and Psychodynamic approaches. This looks at working through life's everyday struggles with a focus on what brought you to this point in your life and made you the person you are today. Whether you want to work on getting back to yourself or seek to become the person you've always wanted to be, we will work together to create an open and supportive environment for you to explore yourself, your thoughts and your feelings.

I can help you to work with things like managing your mental health, how you think about and process your experiences, exploring purpose in life, your perception of yourself and your self-worth.

I offer flexible sessions up to an hour, over the phone, online or in person, with negotiable frequency.

If this sounds like something you'd like to embark on, we will start with a free initial consultation (Up to 30 mins)where we will spend some time getting to know each other  & where you can ask me about how counselling works and my therapeutic approach. You can then tell me a little about yourself, what you would like to discuss in counselling and any goals you may have. We can then plan how we may work together and create a contract outlining guidelines for our work together.

If you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial chat, please feel free to contact me!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
