About us
Free Weekly Counselling Sessions for Young People aged 11-25
- Up to 20 free Counselling Sessions

- Primarily open to anyone 11-25 years old who lives in Hart, goes to a school in the Hart District, or is registered with a Hart GP surgery
- Sessions available in Fleet, Hook, Odiham and Yateley

All Counsellors receive group supervision and are fully supported in their role. 121 itself and all 121 Counsellors are BACP members and as such we adhere to the ethical guidelines and codes of practice of BACP.
We provide Counselling for young people with issues like anxiety, depression, stress, phobias, self harming, suicidal thoughts and feelings, being bullied, post-traumatic stress, bereavement, young carers, amoung others.
Service update: 121 Youth Counselling continues to receive referrals for its counselling service, and existing and new clients are being supported through video or telephone counselling, pending face-to-face counselling restarting.
NEW SERVICE! In response to COVID-19 – Short-term online video Counselling
During this time of uncertainty many young people will be feeling worried and anxious.
121 Youth Counselling is currently offering 3 – 6 Counselling sessions free of charge to support young people in Hart District.
If you would like some short-term Counselling and you live in Hart, go to school in Hart or are registered with a Hart surgery, then please fill in the Referral form for Short Term Counselling available on our website and email it to 121@hartvolaction.org.uk. Alternatively, please call 01252 815652 and choose the option for Youth Counselling to complete the form over the phone. We will then be in touch to arrange sessions.
Currently there is no waiting list for this service.
Please note that a young person should not access this service if they have a more serious mental Health issue that requires longer term Counselling. An assessment will be done before short term Counselling starts and if the Counsellor considers that a Young Person is in need of a longer-term service then this will be offered and the Young person placed on the waiting list for up to 20 sessions of Counselling instead (details below).
Training, qualifications & experience
All counsellors working with young people under the age of 16 are a minimum of level 4 qualified with experience of working with young people either as a counsellor or in some other professional capacity.
Counsellors working with young people age 17-25 are a minimum of level 3 working towards their level 4 qualification.

The service is free of charge to the clients although we welcome donations as it costs us approximately £40 per session to run. If you wish to make a donation you can do this at: https://localgiving.org/charity/hartvolaction/

Session are available Monday to Friday from 3.15 until 9.00
Further information
We cover the whole of Hart and can take some young people from the surrounding areas. To make access as easy as possible, we use the premises of other organisations in the local community. We currently have four venues located in Fleet, Hook, Odiham and Yateley. Some venues have disabled access and facilities. Most have free parking.
Priority for the early evening appointments 3pm - 6.30pm is given to those in school and college. The latest appointment is at 8pm.
