Hannah Mantle [Ad Dip. PC, MNCS Accred.]
About Me/ My Background:
I enjoy nothing more than helping people to make positive changes to their lives and to fulfil their full potential. My fifteen years in education, combined with my experience as a counsellor, means that I have always worked in an environment which is about guiding people to explore their strengths and weaknesses and, eventually, empowering them to fulfil their full potential.
Having worked as a teacher, I enjoy working with young adults and adults alike. I have a profound understanding of the pressures facing young people who are trying to juggle issues outside of school with their educational pressures. I am also acutely aware of the pressures on teaching professionals and other public sector workers. As a result, I offer a discount for students and an exclusive Teachers' Package for teaching professionals.
What Makes Me Different?
All counsellors have their own specialisms, personalities and approaches. Revolution is about offering something a little bit different. Here are a few things I offer that are exclusive to Revolution:
- I offer 1 hour sessions, as opposed to 50 minute sessions. Why? Because I want my clients to feel they have enough time to express themselves and feel listened to without feeling rushed.
- I offer the option for clients to attend 'monthly MOT' sessions if they feel all they need is a 'top up' from time to time to keep them on track.
- I also offer counselling as a 'gift to self' in my 'Self Discovery Package': want to attend a few sessions to find out more about yourself? You don't need to have deep dark secrets to talk about, just the desire to indulge in some self-discovery.
- Lastly - I offer SPECIALLY DISCOUNTED SESSIONS FOR TEACHERS. Have a look at my Exclusive Teachers' Package if you are looking for a counsellor who has first hand knowledge of education and the pressures teachers face.
To find out more about the above packages, either visit my website or send me a message.
I have worked on a private basis with clients for over 3 years, both on a face-to-face basis and via Skype. What I enjoy most about the work I have done with clients is that they come to the end of their time with me having improved their resilience to the challenges in their lives, having gained a heightened awareness of their strengths and weaknesses, and having gained a greater sense of control of their world. You can see a selection of testimonials on my website from past clients.
When I'm not face-to-face with clients, I enjoy designing and delivering workshops on issues, such as stress management.
What I Can Help With:
What I really enjoy is helping people to make changes in their lives - that's why I have chosen the name 'revolution' for my practice because it has powerful connotations of transformation. I enjoy helping people who feel 'stuck' to move on from unhealthy patterns and situations which have held them back.
I am trained to deal with most issues that people might bring to therapy, but the challenges I really enjoy working with are:
- Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder & Stress
- Increasing confidence and self-esteem
- Relationship problems
My Style & Approach:
I am a dynamic person who likes to experiment with different approaches so I can work out what makes a person tick or what helps them to communicate or express themselves best. As a result, my approach is eclectic and borrows methods from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy. I also like to bring in other expressive disciplines when appropriate, such as art, working with colour and guided visualisation. My aim will always be to work with the goals you set in the first session using the most effective tools I can.
Availability & Location:
For people in or near Fleet, I am available for face-to-face sessions. However, if you live anywhere else in the UK, or have mobility issues, I can also offer Skype sessions.
What to Expect:
When you first make contact with me, I will offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation in which we can run through what it is you wish to bring to therapy. Once I've assessed your needs, I will invite you to book an Initial Face-to-Face Consultation or refer you on to someone more appropriate.
At the Initial Face-To-Face Consultation, we will meet and discuss the issues you wish to work on in greater detail. I will ask you what your goals for therapy will be (e.g to build your self-esteem/ to come to terms with your grief etc.). If you feel you wish to continue working with me, we will agree on a working contract together. It is likely that we will contract therapy for an initial 6 weeks. At the end of that 6 weeks, we will review our work together and re-contract if necessary.
