Are you trying to get on with things in life, but your negative thoughts, feelings or patterns get in the way, leaving you feeling anxious or depressed?
I specialise in helping you to free yourself from anxiety, negative feelings and behavioural patterns that have taken hold leaving you feeling stuck, confused, and even more anxious. Nothing is more exhausting than battling with overwhelming feelings every day and not knowing what to do with them.
You may be experiencing:
- flash of anger
- a sense of feeling stuck, confused or anxious, whether in your job, relationship or other aspect of your life
- over-sensitivity and anxiety much of the time
- a feeling of being overwhelmed or out of control
- having negative thoughts that can spiral out of control
- feeling helpless
- Blaming yourself over and over
- difficulty sleeping
- depressed moods and lack of motivation
- difficulty finding a sense of purpose and making decisions
- fear of uncertainty
- feeling stuck in a negative patterns from negative relationship patterns to all sorts of addictions
- relationship difficulties - either clinging to a bad relationship or allowing a good one to spiral out of control
- career difficulties - finding yourself either stuck at a job that you don't like or not being able to find a job suited to your skills or potential
- How I can help you to become free of these difficult feelings
When we are locked in anxiety, depression and all sorts of negative feelings and behaviours, we lose our ability to think. Everything becomes too overwhelming. That is because we have no idea where any of these feelings, thoughts and behaviours are coming from and are not able to 'think' about them. Some of these thoughts and feelings can be difficult to think about, because they are unconscious, rooted in our past experiences and relationships. Unlocking these unconscious roots releases you from anxiety and many other negative feelings and patterns.
In the sessions, I will help you to become 'curious' about your feelings, thoughts, actions and these possible roots. For each and every session, you can bring anything that bothers you and we will work together to understand them and 'think' about your difficult feelings and unravel these puzzling roots. After a while, you'll find yourself being able to think about these intense thoughts and feelings on your own, unlocking yourself from stuckness and negative emotions. This can be a great experience for you, and I assure you that you will be thrilled by what you achieve.
Step by step you will gradually become able to use this tool of thinking at your work, in your relationships and personal life, and build a secure self to rely on at times of anxiety and stress. I will help you to feel more in control and also okay to ‘let go’, and you will find yourself better able to cope with matters that are beyond your control.
