About me

In these particularly challenging times when all seems unknown and uncertain, your level of anxiety may be high. You may be experiencing low moods, prone to tearful moments and irritability. You may be feeling lost and alone. You may be feeling as if you are losing control, stagnated or stuck. Your thoughts and anxiety may be spiralling out of control and this may also be affecting your relationship with your loved ones in a negative way.

I am here to work with you, to explore, understand and manage the difficult emotions that are being induced by these unsettling times. I will help you to get through this crisis and will give you the tools and confidence to be able to see problems differently so you can deal with them with more ease.

I offer online and telephone therapy at the moment. You are welcome to contact me on 07392022771 to have a brief chat or book an initial consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have gone through a five year intensive psychotherapy training at WPF, one of the leading training centres for psychotherapists in the country. I hold a Post-graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Roehampton University. I work as a therapist in private practice.

I have worked within WPF Therapy and NHS Homerton Psychotherapy Unit for several years.

I have worked with people from a variety of different backgrounds and suffering from different psychological issues such as depression, chronic fatigue, anxiety and panic attacks, addiction (sexual, gambling, drugs), sexual abuse, eating disorder, trauma, grief and bereavement.

I have also volunteered for the Samaritans providing emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress, despair or suicidal thoughts.

I have a BSc in Psychology. I have done a great deal of research on mental health.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their ethics, standards and practices.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
