About me

A Journey of Transformation and Growth

Seeking therapy is a courageous step toward reclaiming your life and reaching your full potential. I commend you for taking this first step toward healing and self-discovery. As a person-centred therapist who has embarked on my own transformative journey, I believe that caring therapeutic relationships enable us to grow from adversity.  I foster a nurturing, accepting, and safe environment where you can explore, understand, and overcome the challenges you face.

How I Can Help You

Life’s journey can sometimes take us down daunting and confusing paths. Whether you are struggling with anxiety/anger, career issues, depression, identity issues, low self-esteem, relationship problems, trauma, or other painful experiences, I am here to support you. My holistic, personalized approach will ensure that you feel seen, heard, and understood.

The Benefits of Working Together

•           Find your authentic self: We will help you discover your authentic self and move beyond the expectations and conditions society has imposed on you. You will become the author of yourself so you can live life more fully and with greater purpose.

•           Build resilience and strength: You will develop the tools and strategies needed to face life’s challenges with resilience and strength, turning adversity into opportunities for growth.

•           Achieve emotional balance: You will learn how to alleviate stress and manage emotions such as anger, anxiety, fear, guilt, sadness, and shame to achieve a more balanced and peaceful state of mind.

•           Improve relationships: You will transform how you relate to yourself and others to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

•           Navigate life transitions: You will develop the tools and strategies to navigate life transitions, such as losing a loved one, relocation, a career change, starting or graduating from university, and health issues, with confidence and clarity.

•           Heal from psychological problems: We will work to help you heal from deep-seated psychological issues such as addiction, PTSD, depression, and low self-esteem. We will examine the roots of your problems, help you develop healthier coping mechanisms, and cultivate your resilience. We will move beyond symptom management to address the underlying causes of your distress, facilitating lasting change and empowering you to lead a more satisfying life.

Our Journey Together

Our initial session will be a space for you to share your story and goals for therapy. Your voice will lead the way. We will explore the issues that brought you to therapy, examine your relationships, and identify your values and hopes. If we agree to work together, we will discuss a way forward for future sessions. As our work progresses, you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your circumstances and move towards a more authentic life aligned with your inner wisdom.

Specializations and Approaches

I draw from several therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centred, Emotionally Focused, Existential, and Humanistic, tailoring our sessions to meet your unique needs.

My work spans diverse client demographics, including adults, young people, and groups. I offer flexibility with the duration (short-term and long-term) and format (in-person, online, outdoor, and telephone) of treatment to accommodate clients’ lifestyles.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
