About me

About me

Hello, I am an experienced Chartered Psychologist and Associate BPS Fellow with significant NHS & private practice therapeutic experience. I am registered with the HCPC strongly adhering to codes of conduct, ethics and proficiency, ensuring that my clients receive high quality care and support in line with their individual needs.

I have extensive experience working across a range of presentations, including depression, anxiety, OCD, gender identity, attachment issues, neurodiversity, trauma and relationship difficulties. Together we will find ways to understand your mental health challenges by looking at the bigger picture of your life.

I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I offer a safe and supportive space to make sense your issues. I work in person and online, offering long term and short-term therapy interventions. If you're interested in learning more, please feel free to reach out, and we can arrange a free of charge initial consultation to see if we can work together.

Therapeutic approaches and presentations

My therapeutic approach is flexible and relational and by actively collaborating with you, we will jointly decide how to go about and tackle the issues bringing you to therapy. My approach to therapy is pluralistic and integrative.  This means that I adapt the way I work to meet the person’s needs drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities such as such as Humanistic & (Trauma focusing), CBT, Psychodynamic (Mentalization & Attachment informed) and LGBTQI+ Affirmative & Focusing Gender Sexual Relationship Diversity (GSRD).

LGBTQI+ affirmative and Focusing (GSRD) informed therapies

I am deeply committed to providing LGBTQI+ affirmative therapy that honours and respects the diverse experiences of the LGBTQI+ community. My approach is grounded in empathy & inclusivity. I always strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. I understand the unique challenges and societal pressures faced by LGBTQI+ individuals, and my therapeutic services are designed to empower clients by affirming their identities, fostering resilience, and promoting their emotional well-being.

Mental health challenges

I have extensive experience working with individuals across a range of issues, including low mood and depression, anxiety and OCD, attachment issues, bereavement, phobias & trauma. Psychological formulation is a way to understand your mental health challenges by looking at the big picture of your life. It involves exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, as well as your personal history and current situation. Together, we identify patterns and triggers that contribute to your struggles. By understanding these connections, we can develop a clear plan for how to address your issues and work towards positive change.

Autism & ADHD neurodiversity

I have experience in working with neurodiverse individuals, particularly those with autism and ADHD, using neuro affirmative approaches. Autistic and ADHD individuals are more likely to experience co-existing difficulties such as anxiety and depression. With expertise in neurodevelopmental conditions, I focus on understanding and celebrating neurodiversity while providing support that respects and values your unique experiences and perspectives. Although I do not offer diagnostic assessments, I can use screening tools to support individuals in pursuing diagnostic referrals. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where you feel understood, accepted, and empowered to navigate challenges and embrace your strengths..

Men’s mental health support

Seeking psychological therapy can be a vital step for men who want to improve their mental health. Society often places enormous demands on men, emphasising stoicism and self-reliance, which can make it challenging to seek help. These gender norms may lead to the perception that seeking therapy is a sign of weakness, causing many men to suppress their emotions and avoid addressing mental health issues. Therapy provides a confidential and supportive environment to explore personal challenges, whether they stem from stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other life difficulties. It offers an opportunity to gain insights into one's behaviour and emotions, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. Acknowledging the need for help and engaging in therapy is, in fact, a sign of strength and courage. By taking this proactive approach, men can overcome societal expectations, improve their mental health, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Relationship issues

If you're experiencing difficulties in your relationships, psychological input can be incredibly helpful. It involves working together to understand the patterns and behaviours that might be causing problems. We look at how past experiences and current feelings influence your interactions with others. By gaining insight into these dynamics, you can learn new ways to communicate, set better boundaries, and build stronger, more fulfilling connections. Our goal is to help you navigate relationship challenges with greater confidence and understanding, leading to happier relationships.

I practice face to face from London Bridge (SE1) and online. I accept private paying and AVIVA clients
