About me
I am a registered HCPC Counselling Psychologist (Reg: PYL 38107) and a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (Reg: 269442).
My belief that one size does not fit all means I work from a Pluralistic standpoint drawing upon various models of therapy. Taking a Person-Centred approach to Counselling Psychology means the therapeutic alliance forms a place of safety where change can occur and informs the basis of approaches used, including CBT, Person-centred, Narrative approach, Systemic, and Psychodynamic.
Having many years of experience working in a variety of settings mean I am skilled at working one-one, group formats, with families, statutory services, in-patient hospitals, and Multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).
I work with a range of presenting difficulties across the lifespan in person and online. Fundamentally, my identity as a Counselling Psychologist involves following the scientist-practitioner model, incorporating research and individual formulations to understand a person's difficulties and inform therapeutic approach and evidence based practice.
I have experience in providing therapy for a range of mood and anxiety disorders and have particular expertise in working with those on the Autism Spectrum having provided assessments and therapeutic support to young people for a number of years.
I am an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Practitioner with good outcomes for trauma, PTSD, OCD, Depression and anxiety. Training provided by EMDR Academy UK.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
