About me

Welcome to my profile.

I am a highly experienced and fully qualified psychotherapist specialising in trauma-informed care for adults.

My aim as a therapist is to assist you in navigating painful or unclear life experiences, while also working with stabilising a dysregulated nervous system. I am dedicated to helping you become more emotionally robust, all within the safety and confidentiality of a therapeutic environment.

In my practice, I place a strong emphasis on self-compassion, self-confidence, and our inherent human capacity for growth and resilience. I firmly believe that as humans, we possess the innate ability to strive for positive change and personal growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at Metanoia Institute, a part of Middlesex University in Person Centred Counselling and I continue to broaden my practice with regular trainings. The essence of the Person Centred Approach is the relationship between the therapist and the client.

I have volunteered as a psychotherapist at Help Counselling Centre since 2021 and over the years, I have had the privilege of working with numerous charities, offering support to individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with their own set of complexities.

I am proud to be a fully qualified and registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring that my practice adheres to the highest professional standards.

In addition to my formal training, my extensive corporate experiences have further enriched my approach to counselling. These experiences have allowed me to experience the significance of human relationships and the therapeutic value of open and meaningful conversations.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you, utilising my knowledge and diverse background to provide you with a supportive and empathetic counselling experience.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
